Big Red and the torrent carbon paddle
Typical online purchase went smooth. Received my board in 8 days which did seem like a long time, but not going to ding the store for that because the Aries (I call it big red) is fantastic! The Aries is a 12 footer. That length makes all the difference for good glide. If you are reading this, do yourself a favor and buy the Aries. Its quality through and through, unlike the first two cheap box store boards I bought which are now in the garbage. I've had the board now for about 3 months and paddled maybe 25 times, all lakes. The only thing I think should be upgraded is the paddle. I called the store last week a couple of times about buying a carbon one. the guys I talked to both recommended the carbon torrent to get more performance. They were right! I didn't think I was getting a sales pitch, but you never know. The torrent is a very light and very stiff paddle that is worth every penny IMO. If I ever make to Oregon I hope to check out their store in person. A big shout out and thank you to the team at Stand ON liquid. I had an unexpected good experience. Kip
Aries
The Aries paddles great. So happy I bought it. I definitely wanted at least a 12 foot board. Also considered the Bristol, the San Juan, and the Red MSL. The Aries was the lightest by far at 18 lbs. 2nd lightest was the San Juan at 22 lbs. I choose the Aries because of its weight and shape. It looked like it would be more stable than the San Juan. The bag, paddle, and pump are all good quality. Nothing cheap.
Aries
Wow, the whole package is premium! If you don't know already, Stand on Liquid makes the Latitude 44 boards. Same high quality.
ARIES isup
The Aries is so much better than all the other inflatables I've been on. For an inflatable it tracks really good. The board really only weighs 18 lbs!!! Everything is top notch about the whole package. It even comes with a carbon paddle!!!
