Latitude 44 Hydra 10'10" SUP
Some traditionalists might argue that the Hydra’s fusion of a round nose and a tour board’s tracking is an unholy amalgamation. We don’t care!
While the Hydra Carbon board looks, at first glance, like a typical all-around board, the devil’s in the details. Flip the board over and note the center keel that runs from the nose before tapering flat. It’s different for sure and the reason why the Hydra tracks beautifully. The board’s keel design and shallow rocker provides an opportunity for a shorter length (10’10”) while still providing generous water contact length of longer boards – which aids with glide. Stability comes from the Hydra’s proven 32” width.
The matt airbrushed finish perfectly complements the Hydra Carbon. The croc-skin textured deck pad provides the grip you need and the comfort your toes demand.
The Hydra in a nutshell – all around shape, center keel, and full carbon construction. Compare that to the Hydra’s competition. Ha, there is no competition. You win!

Hydra Lat 44 board
The Hydra has a great glide. Much faster and easier to paddle than my old board. Really happy I bought it.
HYDRA first paddle
The Latitude 44 Hydra is damn good. Thanks Stand on Liquid.
Hydra
I bought the Hydra based only on the photos and description in the website. When I first saw the board in person, I was all "are you kidding me, that board is awesome". I was back home (Redding) the next day and out on the Sac for the first paddle. Same reaction "are you kidding me, this board is awesome". The Hydra is light but not feather. The keel is probably what makes the Hydra so good but maybe its the combination of everything. I don't know. Its pretty cool how everyone at the river wants to see the board and asks questions about it. I guess I'm now the unofficial ambassador for the Latitude 44 boards.
Pick the Lat 44 Hydra
Super experience at stand on liquid. Wasn't even interested in the Hydra at first because it was more expensive. One of the shop guys recommended I should consider it after patiently listening to what I thought I wanted. I did a back to back demo of both the Hydra and the Caspian (2nd choice) at Bend River Park. The Hydra was my pick because it felt faster and paddled straighter. If you buy this board you should be prepared for a lot of compliments on its looks.
Hydra Latitude 44
I'm a beginner and wanted a board that would be stable on my first time out and yet be a board I wouldn't grow out of over time. The staff at SOL was wonderful, helpful and friendly; and steered me toward the Caspian and the Hydra. Both look great; I went with the Hydra and love how it rides. Great performance. The first few minutes were a little wobbly yet I quickly got the hang of it. The Hydra is an excellent mix of tracking, maneuverability, stability, and glide. It's a fun board! Check it out!
