I bought the Hudson mostly for ocean paddling and some crumbly surf when paddling back in. I had high expectations for the board and I was stoked with the board's performance once on the water. For small waves (2-4') with long rides into shore the Hudson is ideal. Most importantly the board paddles beautifully outside the break when its fairly calm. Paddling the Hudson at Lake Tahoe last week was incredible. Maneuvering Betty around those huge boulders was easy. I appreciate that Betty is light and an easy carry from parking lot to the water. No lie, she's only 24 lbs.
